Dipquest 3
With the combined forces of Dispater, Mephistopheles, and Serach ruined and scattered, the leaders themselves exiled from their homes in The Nine Hells of Pokol, the long road to regain stability began in the Seven Heavens of Mennyorszag.
The citizens of the various kingdoms of Mennyorszag, free of the terrorism and threats of invasion, now attempted to settle back into their various states of normalcy.
In The Lawful and Orderly Kingdom of Ovadek, where the front lines of the invasion took place, the followers of Bahamaut were in the process of making repairs to the immense wall that separated all of the Seven Heavens of Mennyorszag from The Clockwork Realm of Torveny. With the salt devils on the run, some aid was even offered to the clockwork denizens of that land.
In the firmament opposite of Ovadek, was the chaotic Kingdom of Kodfuggony where those sworn to Gygax were granted new bodies following their death in the mortal realms. It was here, in the most disorganized of the Heavenly Kingdoms, that the terrorism had made the biggest impact. The natural disorder of the place, and the ordinary clashes between the more monstrous of Gygax’s children made the job of maintaining order very difficult for the angelic watchmen.
The roots of The World-Tree Yggdrasil grasped Kodfuggony firmly and at the top of the vast distance to her boughs rested the Halls of Valhalla which guards the entrance to the Kingdom of Rakia. This kingdom was guarded by Oden and his children, and what fiendish terror had found its way here quickly learned to regret the choice.
The Wilds of Shakim bordered Rakia, and here the elven saints ruled over the beasts and plants. Corruption had found its place here as well, but the elves were masters of healing the land and quickly tended to the destruction wrought there by the monsters unleashed by the terrorists.
Maon, the Throne of Gygax, was the most heavily targeted of all the Seven Kingdoms, and here the restoration would take the longest. Monsters still roamed here and although great efforts were made to restore the balance, it would a long time indeed until normalcy could be realized.
At the shores of Maon washed The Endless Seas of Makon. The waters had become foul and polluted with the efforts of the fiends, and great monsters of the seas still searched the depths for unwary prey.
On the far shores the tides of Makon broke upon The Glaciers of Zebul. This land, nestled between Makon and Ovadek saw little of the war directly, the armies of the dwarven saints having spent much of the war guarding the walls of Ovadek. Now that the war was over, the restless warriors were returning to an uneasy peace.
Victory had come at a high cost, and without the supreme efforts of the heroes The Motley Crue, the war could have gone very badly indeed. Asmodeus disavowed any connection to the arch devils involved, resolutely denying any role in their actions and summarily exiling them and their armies. Where they were hiding now none could guess, but packs of the salt devil troops sprang up here and there causing trouble throughout the galaxy.
Primordia was enjoying the new found religious freedom negotiated by The Motley Crue, and Gygaxian missionaries were found in abundance spreading love and peace.
There was uncertainty however, in the upper escalations of The Gygaxian Church. The war was won, but His voice remained silent. That His will remained manifest was certain – those few priests blessed with the ability to perform miracles retained that power, and His most powerful angels still maintained the balance – even so no matter how desperate the supplication He did not reply.
One of the more well-connected and influential of the new churches on Primordia had learned of this terrible silence and sent a delegation of their own into the Seven Heavens to try to uncover this mystery and bring back His voice to the masses.
